Triathlon is a great way to get fit and stay healthy and can be adapted for a wide range of impairments.
If the thought of running, swimming and cycling sounds daunting then you can go at your own pace and start with one or two before getting confident enough to tackle all three!
A duathlon (running and cycling) or an aquathlon (running and swimming) are options while there is a host of equipment available to people with a variety of impairments.
Things you might need to get started
If you’re planning on starting to train then running shoes, a bike and a swimming costume are needed.
As you build your skills more advanced equipment might be needed including a wetsuit.
