Overview

Gateway Wheelers intend to run 3 cycling sessions each day, three days a week for up to 6 people with learning disabilities in each session. Gateway Wheelers have 45 bicycles adapted for a range of individual needs and a small experienced staff team with trained volunteers. During covid all sessions were suspended and this is a big opportunity to restart sessions as the roadmap out of lockdown allows. Each individual receives a covid safe briefing, they are matched to the right bicycle for them and given whatever support they need to begin their session. The sessions are also great for whole families with often family members/carers joining in with the activities as well. We intend to deliver over a four month period from July to October 2021.
