Every Body Moves successful at Sport Industry Awards 2022

Parasport representatives Natalia Stanowksa and Barry Lloyd accept the Active & Wellbeing Award

Every Body Moves powered by Toyota was rewarded for its work in inspiring grassroots sport participation among disabled people at the Sport Industry Awards 2022, taking home the Active & Wellbeing Award.

Held at a sold-out Evolution London, 1,500 sport industry professionals and athletes came together to celebrate and showcase the sector's outstanding work and achievements in the last year.

Every Body Moves is honoured to have been selected as the winner in the Active & Wellbeing category following a 12 months which has seen the platform continue to grow.

The past year has seen both summer and winter Paralympics take place and Every Body Moves has used these incredible showcases of disability sport to drive participation at grassroots level.

A ‘Spotlight On…’ series ahead of the summer Games in Tokyo saw each sport profiled by a participant or key figure while the action captured the imagination of prospective new players, with tens of thousands of people making use of the Activity Finder.

The Winter Paralympics in Beijing proved equally inspiring and Every Body Moves highlighted the exploits of several clubs who offer provision for winter sports through the popular Club of the Month series.

ParalympicsGB CEO, Mike Sharrock, said: “The British Paralympic Association are incredibly proud of Every Body Moves winning this prestigious award, especially in such a strong category.

“We are confident that this success will help us to propel the programme forward and encourage even more grassroots organisations to join the Every Body Moves community.”

Jenny Seymour, ParalympicsGB commercial director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to see Every Body Moves, powered by Toyota, recognised at this year’s Sports Industry Awards.

“It recognises a huge amount of work that has taken place by both the BPA and Toyota as well as giving credit to the programme itself and the importance of supporting and promoting physical activity.

“We’re very proud of this project, and award win, and would like to say a massive thank you to the team at Toyota for everything they’ve done to date and everything that’s lined up for the future.”
