Welcome to the Organisations section of Parasport. Here you will find contact details for many disability sport bodies in the UK and sports organisations in general.

This is not, however, a complete list. So if you would like to have your organisation's information added to this list, please contact us using the form on the right.

Definitions

County Sports Partnerships - A County Sports Partnership is a partnership of agencies committed to providing a high quality single system for people to benefit from sport.
Disability Sports Organisations - Bodies responsible for developing sport for disabled people.
Home Country Disability Sports Organisations – National bodies responsible for developing sport for disabled people.
Home Country Sports Institutes – the name given to a network of centres and a central team of experts that supports the UK’s top sportsmen and women. Made up of four Home Country Sports Institutes in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland along with a central services team, which is part of UK Sport, based in London.
National Governing Body - an organisation for a given sport which oversees the local clubs, organises competitions and supporting the national teams, provides rules, provides training and hands out awards.
National Sports Organisations - are not-for-profit organisations that are responsible for the development of their particular sport in their own country.
