22nd April 10Following on from the successful staging of the World Junior Wheelchair Basketball Championships in August 2005, Birmingham and the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association (GBWBA) have won the bid to stage the senior version of the event in 2010, just two years before the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

22nd April 10South Lanarkshire Lifestyles Fairhill, a £9m modern integrated facility opened in 2008, is the first leisure facility in Scotland to gain Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) Mark Accreditation and, the first in the UK to achieve the ‘Excellent’ level.

British swimmers were looking for qualifying times for the World Swimming Championships later this year in Eindhoven – competition was fierce.
