FREE Tickets for School to the 2010 Paralympic World Cup

Wed 3rd March 10

From 25th – 31st May 2010 the BT Paralympic World Cup will return to two Manchester venues bringing over 400 of the world’s top athletes to compete in a multisport event showcasing five sports. We are delighted to offer your school the chance to experience the action for free! You can apply for up to 25 tickets* for each event which can be used for pupils, teachers and guardians alike.

Due to an overwhelming response in 2009 many school children missed out on the chance to attend the BT PWC, so we do ask that you apply only for the number of tickets you require, and if after being allocated tickets you later find you cannot attend, please ensure you contact us as soon as possible so that we can both give another school the opportunity and also avoid empty seats.

Tickets are available on a first come first served basis, and this year all applications will be online. This means you will know instantly whether your school has received tickets which, based on the feedback you gave last year, would greatly help with your planning of the trip.

Tickets are now exclusively available to schools! Please visit www.btparalympicworldcup.com/schools for more details; when you reach the online application you will need to enter the following promotional code:
SCHTKO

Exclusive Competition
For 2010 we are offering your students the exclusive chance to have their poem or design published in our event programme – just download a form from our website and complete in class or for homework! For competition details please visit www.btparalympicworldcup.com/competitions. The school with the most entries will also win the chance to have one of our BT PWC athletes visit their school!

Education Resource
To introduce the event to your school, we have created an online education resource including downloadable activity packs, classroom activities and athlete case studies. Suitable for use in assemblies, PE, Citizenship and PHSE, the resource is available at www.btparalympicworldcup.com.
Our website also contains exclusive news of the 2010 athletes who will be competing in Manchester this year, including world-renown Bladerunner Oscar Pistorius and Paralympic Gold Medallist and BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year Ellie Simmonds.

Exclusive Updates and Blogs – follow us on Twitter!
This year we will be releasing exclusive news from the 2010 athletes and further BT Paralympic World Cup Activities to use with your class through our BT PWC newsletter (sign up at www.btparalympicworldcup.com). You and your students can also follow us on twitter, where athletes will be giving an insight into their daily schedules and we’ll be blogging about event preparations for 2010.

We hope you take up this offer however if you feel it would be more relevant to one of your colleagues we do ask that you pass it on to them as we want to ensure that your school doesn’t miss out!

We look forward to welcoming you to The BT Paralympic World Cup 2010.
Yours Sincerely,

BT Paralympic World Cup Team
