The Tennis Foundations smashing opportunities

Tue 9th February 10

The Tennis Foundation is now inviting applicants for a series of wheelchair tennis camps that will take place across Britain in 2010.

Camps are being held for both Junior and Adults at a series of locations throughout the year, with the Lord's Taverrners supporting the Junior camps through the Lord's Taverners Wheelchair Tennis Junior Development Programme, a partnership initiative with the Tennis Foundation.

The first camps are set to take place at Gosling International High Performance centre at Welwyn Garden City, Herts, on Saturday 13th (Juniors only) and Sunday 14th February.

All the camps are an ACE way to try your hand at one of the most popular of Paralympic sports, with expert coaching and guidance and the chance to try out purpose-built tennis chairs all part of a package that offers everyone of all abilities and ages a SMASHING experience.

Similar camps have provided a firm foundation in the development of some of Britain's current crop of wheelchair tennis stars, including Gordon Reid and Jordanne Whiley, who were both world No 1 ranked juniors at the end of 2009.

To book your place on any of the camps, please download a application form below or you can download one from the Tennis Foundation website, where you can find our more about wheelchair tennis - visit
