Adult Tennis Player - Optua’s Disability Sport Showcase Day in Suffolk

  • Danny Wallace, the ex Southampton, Birmingham City, Manchester United and England winger, was presented with a plaque by the PFA’s Chief Executive Gordon Taylor to mark his new role as an ambassador for The National Association of Disabled Supporters (NADS).
  • Any disabled people inspired by the Beijing Paralympics can sample a range of Paralmypic sports this September when Optua brings its Disability Sport Showcase event to Mildenhall.
  • Well what a few weeks the Suffolk Spartans have had. On 7th June three members of the club went to Stoke Mandeville and competed in the National Powerlifting Finals where all three came away with British titles in their respective weight classes.
  • Wilson Stuart disabled sports college benefited by two BDAA funded fishing days at the Albrighton Moat Trust near Wolverhampton in Shropshire www.albrightontrust.org.uk the charity raised the £1400.00 required to fund the days through various activities including courses, access audits, and donations.
