Please give a Raptor-ous round of applause to our April Club of the Month winners, Rhyl Raptors Wheelchair Sports Club.
From their humble foundation in 2010, this vibrant and pioneering club has been influential in developing the North Wales wheelchair basketball scene. Helping to establish additional clubs across the area and bring a local league to life.
Inclusion beats at the heart of Rhyl Raptors and the club are actively working to close participation gaps and engage with less represented audiences. Examples include their fantastic work to attract more disabled girls to the club and sessions that see disable and non-disabled participants playing side by side.
More recently the club has expanded to embrace and promote wheelchair sports as a whole, allowing a wide variety of ways that participants can be more physically active in a way that suits the individual.
